The Witch Circe

-Define a new vocabulary word, and develop an example, non-example, draw a picture and develop a showing sentence using the vocabulary word.
-create a mini-dialogue that demonstrates understanding of the elements of dialogue and incorporates “show not tell writing”
-analyze diction to determine tone and mood in “the Land of the Dead”
-Utilize diction to retell a  story and establish  tone and mood.

Dialogue and Essay organizer

Today I will: 

-Demonstrate mastery of vocabulary terms through an on-line multiple choice test.
-create a mini-dialogue that demonstrates understanding of the elements of dialogue and incorporates “show not tell writing”

2. Introduce dialogue: Follow the directions on the dialogue document and create a group dialogue with the people in your family group.
3. Work on the Hero's Journey Essay Organizer .

The Hero's Journey Essay

Today I will: 
-Define a new vocabulary word, and develop an example, non-example, draw a picture and develop a showing sentence using the vocabulary word.
-Describe a childhood memory using show-not-tell writing and sensory imagery by writing a paragraph.
-Identify the elements of a narrative, analyze a prompt, and begin to map out student’s own hero’s journey (as it relates to your  life)
